Testing is a bit challenging as there are two different connector pins and they perform different functions but the best way to test it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is fully operational, it should be reading around 1000 ohms. Check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant decrease in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, three were drenched in gazoline, the fourth was dry. When I crank the engine with no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 drenched with gazoline pop out, but the 4th one stays closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I get zero Ohm. I assume that the problem is in another location.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it works fine when the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when it is unplugged, shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. However, i'm afraid that I may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! TIA!
