The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.

It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also remove wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are great, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
